Lady Hornets grown up

Together, Emily Dillenburg, Emily Markham,?Ryanne?Dugan and Sydney Youngberg were four key reasons for the success the Forestville sports programs saw over the last four years.

Now, they have taken their athletic skills to the next level and are competing for their respective colleges.

Following is an update of where each of them are playing sports and continuing their education.

Emily Dillenburg has consistently been a key contributor to the Mavericks’ bowling team.

In the first match of the season, Dillenburg posted the third best game amongst her teammates with a 170 game.

At the AMCC Quad Match in November, Dillenburg cracked a 183 game as Medaille finished the weekend event with a 4-2 mark.

In the team’s most recent match, Dillenburg banged out a 194 game and was stellar in the six games of Baker Format in a defeat to Pitt-Bradford.

Emily Markham, Forestville’s 2013 valedictorian is attending Ohio State University to major in psychology with a minor in forensic science. Athletically, she is a member of the returning No. 1 Buckeyes’ rowing team.

The Brockport Golden Eagles finished the year with a 9-18 mark. They were 0-7 in the conference with a 2-5 home record and a 1-6 away record. Brockport was also 6-7 in neutral sites. Of the 13 matches she played, Sydney Youngberg played, she took part in 20 games this season. On the attack, Youngberg had 35 total attempts with two serves.

As for Ryanne Dugan, she played volleyball this past season for the Daemen Wildcats. The team finished with a 23-10 record and went 10-6 in the conference. At home, they were 7-2 and did equally as well at neutral sites with an 11-2 mark. Dugan played in 12 sets of eight matches. She finished the year with one assist on 19 attempts.
