Getaway Weekend sponsored By Chadwick Bay NYS Women Inc.

The Chadwick Bay has finalized plans for the Getaway Weekend at the Dunkirk Clarion Hotel. Please be advised that the dates are March 7-9. Activities include a networking party on Friday night, a shopping expo on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and all-day pampering sessions. The longtime favorite water aerobics is back on the schedule. A women’s health seminar, basket weaving classes, no sew blankets and investment strategy are also being offered in the afternoon.

The group is looking for crafters for the shopping expo. If interested, contact Donnie Hover at 673-1045 for the vendor form.

County Planning Board’s monthly meeting

The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be held on Jan. 7 at 4 p.m. at the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency’s Office at 200 Harrison St. in Jamestown.

Free family movie night

St. Peter’s Church in Forestville will hold a free family movie night today at 7 p.m. at the church, 1-A Park Ave. The movie will be “Bella.” There will also be a spaghetti dinner at 6 p.m.

Snowmobilers urged to check on trails

Snowmobilers are urged to stay off trails while they are closed. Please remember that it is illegal for anybody to ride on any snowmobile trails when they are closed. Anybody riding when trails are closed can be charged with trespass and/or have their sleds impounded. Smowmobilers can call for trail conditions and events at 1-800-242-4569, dial 2 then press 5.
