Fredonia teen missing

New York State Police in Fredonia are requesting assistance from the public in locating Austin Lamont, 16, of Irving.

Lamont left his foster residence on Dec. 22 and may be in the Buffalo area.

He is described as a Native American male, 6-foot 4-inches, approximately 240 pounds, wearing a green North Face jacket, jeans and DC sneakers.

Law Enforcement officials are concerned for his health and safety. Anyone who has had contact with Lamont or has information regarding his whereabouts are asked to contact the State Police in Fredonia at (716)679-1520.

Woman injured during New Years Eve dispute

CATTARAUGUS INDIAN RESERVATION – State Police in Collins received a report Jan. 31 of a 27-year-old woman “being beaten up and left out in the cold” by the woman’s father.

Suspect Christopher M. Lone, 31, was allegedly found walking near the residence with blood on his hands.

The victim was located down the street a short time later with minor injuries to her face from a shattered window.

Investigation determined that the couple got into an argument inside their home, which allegedly led to the victim being hit and fleeing to her car.

The victim locked herself in her car and began calling her father for help.

Lone approached her and tried to gain entry into the car. He allegedly punched the window, which caused the glass to shatter and hit the victim in the face.

The victim was evaluated for minor injuries by emergency personnel.

Lone was transported to the Collins Barracks and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of second-degree harassment.

He is due in Perrysburg Town Court at a later date.

The investigation was assisted by members of the Gowanda Police, Erie County Sheriff’s Office and the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation Fire Company.

Gowanda man injured in car crash

CONCORD – A Gowanda man was seriously injured in a collision Saturday around 10 a.m.

Jesse Gens, 21, of Gowanda, was driving north on Trevett Road when he allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Trevett and Genesee roads.

Gens vehicle entered the intersection and was struck by vehicle driven by William Howles, 66, of Eden, who was traveling east on Genesee Road.

Howles and his passenger Janet Howles, 64, also from Eden were not injured in the crash.

Gens was transported by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit.
