Barbara A. Logan

HAMBURG – Barbara A. Logan, 78, of Sowles Road, Hamburg, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Absolut at Dunkirk, following a short illness.

She was born in Buffalo on May 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Francis H. “Pop” and Ethel (Gilman) Heather.

She was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School, Class of 1953, and worked as a Manager for the American Legion Post #880 in Eden, N.Y. Mrs. Logan served on the Board of Directors for 18 Mile Creek Golf Course, was President of the Hamburg Seniors Couples Golf League, was Vice President of the Hamburg Women’s Seniors Golf League and in 1989, she was inducted into the Erie County Suburban Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame.

Besides being an avid golfer and bowler, she was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and most other sports.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin (Jennie) Logan, Robert Logan and Jeff (Christine) Logan; two daughters, Jami (Joseph) Sorrento and Konni (Grant) Miller; and two brothers, Robert (Stephanie) Heather and Daniel (Patricia) Heather. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, William Heather.

There will be no visita-tion observed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Time and place to be announced. The family suggests Memorial donations be made to the Hamburg Seniors Golf Club, Hamburg, N.Y. 14075.
