NCCF announces webinar series
The Northern Chautau-qua Community Foundation has announced their Winter Social Media Webinar Series.
The Webinar Series is being offered to all non profit organizations and is free of charge.
The series will include the following webinars: Tuesday: LinkedIn Groups and Company Pages; Feb. 11: Fifty Blogging Best Practices for Nonprofits and March 4: Google+ and Google+ Hangouts.
The webinars provide useful social media strategies to create engaging, interactive, and effective platforms to communicate with a variety of audiences.

Opera House movie rescheduled for tonight
Due to the frigid temperatures and Village of Fredonia travel advisory, Tuesday’s screening of “All is Lost” at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House has been postponed until this evening at 7:30 p.m.
Dessert card party today canceled
St. Joseph’s dessert card party, which was scheduled for today at 12:30 p.m., has been canceled.
Chautauqua County Genealogical Society to host research seminar
The Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will host a seminar focusing on researching Family History on April 26.
The event will help people learn more about various free, online resources that can be used when researching their own family history.
It will also provide important things to know when doing online research.
Featured speakers include research specialist Rhonda Konig from the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library and Norman Carlson from the Fenton Historical Society in Jamestown.
The daylong event will be run from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel in Dunkirk on April 26 and will include morning refreshments and a lunch buffet. The cost is $25 per person and seating is limited. Reservations are requested by April 1.
