Pro Life committee of Chautauqua County sponsors Novena

The 6th annual Novena for Life, sponsored by the Pro Life Committee of Chautauqua County, will be held Jan. 14-22. It was at this time of year in 1973 that the Supreme Court in the case Roe vs. Wade sided with the argument for the right to abortion. The Pro Life committee stated that since 1973, there have been about 54 million abortions. The novena dates coordinate with the dates for the Washington DC, March for Life. It joins with The National Walk for Life to promote life from its earliest moment. The dates, times, and locations and celebrants are as follows:

Today, 7 p.m. – Blessed Mary Angela (St. Hyacinth Church) – Fr. Nycz

Wednesday, 7 p.m. – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton-Fr. Riter

Thursday, 7 p.m. – St. Dominic (Brocton)-Fr. Walter

Friday, 7 p.m. – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton -Fr. Riter

Saturday, 7 p.m. – St. Joseph – Deacon Hens

Sunday, 7 p.m. – St. Joseph – Deacon Hens

Monday, 7 p.m. – St. Anthony – Fr. Westfield

Tuesday, 7 p.m. – 7 p.m.- St. Dominic (Westfield) – Fr. Walter

Wednesday, Jan. 22, 7 p.m. – Holy Trinity – Fr. Zalacca

At this Novena, as in the Washington March for Life, participants will pray for mothers, for their wellbeing, and that they pass life onto their own children. The Novena will include benediction and a rosary for the intention of life and an end to abortion.
