Gowanda girls remain perfect

OLEAN – The Gowanda Panthers saw mixed results Tuesday in CCAA East high school bowling action with the girls earning a sweep and the boys falling, 3-1, to Allegany-Limestone.

In the girls’ match, Gowanda (24-0) stayed perfect with a 763-713-768-2,244 linescore compared to Allegany-Limestone’s 563-620-666-1,849

High series for Gowanda was charted by Lauren Wing with a 237-159-178-574. High games were tallied by Sydney Gominiak (181), Laura Girney (164) and Danielle Lesfeske (160).

For the boys, the Gators’ linescore read 805-839-915-2,559 while the Panthers (21-3)combined for a 868-777-864-2,509. It was Gowanda’s first three losses of the season.

High series for Gowanda went to Zach Gabel with a 163-165-191-519 while Jarred Krajewski had a 204 game in defeat.

Hornets take care of Cardinals

JAMESTOWN – The Forestville Hornets made light work of the Randolph Cardinals on Tuesday in CCAA West II high school bowing.

For the boys, Forestville (23-5) combined for a 793-982-840-2,615 to sweep the Cardinals (16-8) which bowled a 764-850-784-2,398 at Jamestown Bowling Company.

Top bowlers for Forestville were John Murphy with a 255-189-615 and Brad Dillenburg with a 204-199-549. Phil Narroway bowled a 201 game for the winners.

For Randolph, Dalton Taylor rolled a 223-546 and Ashton Walters finished with a 186-514.

In the girls’ match, the Lady Hornets (18-2) continued their dominance with a sweep. Their linescore read 601-498-593-1,692 while the Lady Cardinals rolled a 547-490-507-1,544.

Forestville received a 188-476 from Shawntai Lebarron while Sarah Pleva charted a 171-476 for the winners.

Randolph’s Tyler Henderson bowled a 173-477 and Cienna Ribblett finished with a 160-411.

Bulldogs take bite out of Pirates

CUTTING – The Brocton Bulldogs took down the Clymer Pirates on Tuesday in CCAA West II boys high school bowling.

The Bulldogs (12-16) combined for a 824-797-747-2,387 compared to Clymer’s (8.5-11.5) 700-694-710-2,104 at Cutting Lanes.

Brocton’s top bowler was Mark Nickerson with a 198-182-530 while Jordan Krystofiak contributed in the win with a 193. Taylor Delcamp finished with a 181 game for the winner.

The Pirates received a 188-179 from David Applebee.
