Silver Creek man arrested for DWI
SILVER CREEK – Fredonia Troopers arrested Jonathan Valenti, 24, of Silver Creek for driving while intoxicated on Tuesday.
Valenti was observed driving with inadequate plate lamps and an expired inspection.
After failing field sobriety tests he was arrested for driving while intoxicated and brought back to the station. Valenti provided a breath sample showing his blood alcohol level to be a .15 percent.
He was issued tickets for the village of Silver Creek Court on Feb. 5.
ELLICOTT – On Sunday, State Troopers arrested Alijhiah G. Minor, 18, of Naples, for drug possession after a traffic stop for speeding on I-86 in the Town of Ellicott.
Minor, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of marijuana.
He was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana returnable to the Town of Ellicott Court on Jan. 22.

NORTH HARMONY – On Sunday, Kasey M. Erhard, 21, of Sherman, was arrested by New York State Troopers for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and drug possession following a traffic stop for a loud exhaust on State Route 394 in the Town of North Harmony.
Erhard possessed a shotgun with defaced serial numbers and further investigation found him to be in possession of marijuana and fireworks.
Erhard was issued appearance tickets for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of fireworks returnable to the Town on North Harmony Court.
ELLERY – On Saturday, New York State Police arrested Joel A. Peterson, 26, of Jamestown for drug possession after a traffic stop for speeding.
Peterson, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of marijuana and issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana returnable to the Town of Ellery Court.
GERRY – On Friday, Riley S. Gustafson, 20, of Frewsburg was arrested by New York State Police for drug possession after a traffic stop on Route 60 for a loud exhaust.
Investigation found Gustafson to be in possession of marijuana.
He was issued tickets for unlawful possession of marijuana and loud exhaust returnable to the Town of Gerry Court.
Erie County Sheriff’s Office
SENECA NATION OF INDIANS – Michael E. Schwanz, 29, of Eden was charged with driving while intoxicated on Monday. At 9:30 p.m. deputies responded to the report of an alleged one-vehicle accident on Route 438. It was found that Schwanz was allegedly intoxicated and was found to have an alleged blood alcohol content of .14 percent. Schwanz was released to a sober third party and will appear in Brant Town Court at a later date. The Seneca Nation of Indians Marshals also responded to this call.
