Cassadaga Library to ‘Fight Cabin Fever’

CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga Library is sponsoring a free speaker series designed for adults.

Librarian Carolyn Wenger said, “A library patron suggested that we do something so adults could get out of the house during the winter. I thought it was a good idea so decided to try.”

The series is called “Fight Cabin Fever” and will feature speakers once a month from January through March. The events will all take place on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the library.

On Jan. 22, newly elected Stockton Town Justice Mark Cunningham will visit the library to meet area residents and answer questions.

On Feb. 26, Community Liaison Adam Dolce will explain what the Cassadaga Job Corps does.

He also plans to bring a student to provide that person’s story.

On March 26, Janelle Fluga from Lutheran Social Services will speak. She will give information about Medicare and answer questions.

Wenger hopes that local residents will take the opportunity to come in and look at the recently reopened library as well as to learn from the speakers.
