Silver Creek boys continue hot streak on the lanes

SILVER CREEK – A day after rolling the best linescore of the season, the Silver Creek Black Knights boys’ bowling team was back in action and took care of the Randolph Cardinals in CCAA West II high school bowling.

Silver Creek’s (20-8) linescore read 871-929-943-2,743 while Randolph (19-13) rolled an 811-879-783-2,473 at Lakeview Lanes.

The Black Knights were led by Tyler Steklasa’s 214-188-176-578 and Robert Paterson’s 213-180-176-569. Elliott Martin contributed in the win with a 201-173-542 and Carl Cotroneo finished with a 202-528.

The Cardinals received a 218-168-550 from Marcus Miller while Skyler Schapp nailed a 192-178-544. Ashton Walters added a 536 series in defeat.

In the girls’ match, Silver Creek (13-11) took three of four with a linescore of 584-633-502-1,719 while Randolph (15-13) combined for a 554-554-508-1,616.

Katie Dittiger led the Black Knights with a 160-140-440 while seventh grader Andrea Olsen cracked a career-high 202 game. Jamie Hehir contributed in the win with a 154-435.

The Lady Cardinals’ Tyler Henderson finished with a 192-180-533 and Cienna Ribblett bowled a 159-159-439.

Silver Creek returns to action next Wednesday when it hosts Clymer.

Lady T’birds take three, boys fall to Clymer

CUTTING – The Chautauqua Lake Lady Thunderbirds took three matches from the Clymer Lady Pirates on Thursday in CCAA West II girls high school bowling.

Chautauqua Lake’s linescore read 441-440-533-1,434 while Clymer combined for a 453-429-424-1,306 at Cutting Lanes.

Heather Sullivan led the winners with a 125-161-158-444 and Emily Paulus rolled a 145-132-107-384.

Clymer’s high bowler was Arleigh Bemis with a 145-114-116-375.

For the boys, Clymer earned the sweep with a linescore of 696-641-708-2,045 compared to Chautauqua Lake’s 600-574-515-1,709.

The Thunderbirds were led by AJ Utegg’s 183-140-141-464.

Clymer’s Sam VanValkenburg cracked a 158-171-167-496 for the winners.
