Brocton Preceptor Beta Epsilon holds its first meeting of 2014

BROCTON?- Members of the Brocton Preceptor Beta Epsilon Sorority met recently at the of Marie Zambotti for their first meeting of the new year.

Regina Heslink served as co-hostess. She and Marie served delicious “movie” snacks when the group enjoyed “Movie Night” at the end of the evening with a showing of the hilarious movie, “The Miller’s.”

Two pledge members, Nancy Smith and Dana Haskin, joined the group for the entertaining evening and will begin their Beta Sigma Phi Pledge training soon.

A thank-you note was received from the local Food pantry for the group’s recent donation.

It was noted during the meeting that there is a young person in the community who is blind and will be attending a special summer camp this year. His fee has already been paid but he and his family are collecting bottles and cans to raise money for another person to be able to attend this camp.

Members of the Sorority said they would be happy to save their bottles and cans for this purpose and will see that they get to the family.

The ladies chose the White Inn for their annual Valentine dinner this year on Saturday, Feb. 8. Janice Hipwell, our 2013 Valentine Queen, collected the votes for this year’s Queen who will be announced and crowned at this special event.

The next meeting will be held at the home of Dottie Frontuto on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. Hipwell will serve as co-hostess. Frontuto will present the program for the evening.
