Megan Green earns CPA designation

Megan E. Green, of Ashville, recently became licensed to practice as a certified public accountant in the state of New York.

Green is a 2006 graduate of SUNY Fredonia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a secondary major in finance. She also received a minor in economics. In addition, she holds an associate degree in business administration from Jamestown Commun-ity College.

To obtain this license, Green passed the uniform certified public accounting examination, which consists of a four-part, 16-hour exam covering the areas of financial accounting and reporting, auditing and attestation, business environments and regulation. Candidates for the CPA designation must satisfy extensive educational requirements from an accredited institution and fulfill stringent experience requirements.
