VILLENOVA – Franklin Blum, 49, of Buffalo Street, Silver Creek, was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to stop at a stop sign on Wednesday.

Around 6:40 p.m., deputies responded to an accident involving two motor vehicles on South Mills Road. After further investigation, Blum was found to allegedly be intoxicated.

He will appear in Villenova Town Court.

CHAUTAUQUA – Ryan Somers, 34, of Mayville was charged with driving while intoxicated, insufficient headlamps and an uninspected vehicle on Wednesday.

Around 8:30 p.m., Sheriff’s patrol stopped a vehicle on Route 394 for allegedly having a headlight out. An investigation revealed Somers, the driver, to allegedly be intoxicated.

He will appear in Chautauqua Town Court.

RIPLEY – Travis Garske, 43, of Main Street, Ripley, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and speed in zone on Saturday.

Around 9:30 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle allegedly speeding on Route 20. An investigation found Garske, the driver, to allegedly be intoxicated. It was also discovered Garske had previously been convicted of DWI within 10 years.

He will appear in Ripley Town Court.

ELLERY – Kevin Maytum, 44, of Dewittville was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater on Saturday.

Around 2:15 a.m., deputies responded to a restaurant on Route 430 in the town of Ellery for a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot. Upon arrival, deputies located the vehicle in the back of the parking lot. An investigation revealed Maytum, the driver, was allegedly intoxicated.

He will appear in Ellery Town Court.

New York State Police at Fredonia

Jack Flagler, 65, of Ontario was charged with driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning.

Troopers pulled Flagler over for allegedly going over the fog line twice on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. He reportedly failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of .11 percent.

He will appear in Pomfret Town Court.
