Drum & Bugle Corps to begin 2014 season

The Chadwick Bay Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps will kick off its 2014 parade season with a corps practice and pizza party on Sunday Jan. 26 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church 334 Temple St., Fredonia.

Anyone interested in joining the corps is invited to attend. Regular practices will be held at the church every other Sunday from 1:30 – 3:45 p.m, beginning Feb. 16.

Immediately following the practice, a brief general corps membership meeting will be held. Officers for the board of directors will be elected for the 2014 year. The pizza party will follow.

The Corps is for all ages. It has openings in the percussion line, the horn line and the Honor/Color Guard lines. The Buccaneers welcome new members, and have talented instructors to teach the Corps music. Mateo Mendez was appointed horn instructor for the 2014 season, replacing Ramona Abraham who left the area. KC Wolford remains the Corps Drum Instructor for the 2014 season.
