4-H dog program accepting new members

The 4-H dog program accepts members ages 8-19 who have an interest in dogs or who are interested in learning how to train their own dogs. The 4-H Dog program offers training and dog showing experience and hosts several shows at 4-H Acres in Stockton. The shows allow youth to demonstrate their hard work and pets’ skills.

The program accepts new members from Oct. 1 through April 1. Anyone with an interest is encouraged to attend the next educational class on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Frank Bratt Ag Center in Jamestown. The topic for this class will be therapy dogs.
