Edwin N. Kelley

Edwin N. “Tuffy” Kelley, age 75, of Webster Road Brocton, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with Lymphoma.

Edwin was born at home in Dewittville, NY, to the late Forrest and Virchie (Higginbotham) Kelley on November 20, 1938 and lived there until 1947 when he moved to Brocton to finish his education.

Mr. Kelley worked at Niagara Mohawk as a Maintenance Supervisor for 31 years before accepting an early retirement in 1994.

Edwin is survived by his loving wife Faye (Ertell) whom he married on July 7, 1957 and shared 56 wonderful years of marriage; six children: Eileen Baldridge of Brocton NY, Joanne Kohler also of Brocton, Barbara Riewaldt of Hamburg NY, Cheryl (Charles “Chip”) Clutter of Enoree, SC, Edwin “Butch” Kelley and Michelle Kelley-Dispense, both of Brocton, NY; two brothers; Everett (Judy) Kelley of Buckeye, AZ, Edgar (Linda) Kelley of Groveport OH; fourteen grandchildren: Jennifer, Kimberly, Jeramiah, Shannon, Christopher, Christy, John, Matthew, Danielle, David, Janelle, Stephanie, Logan and Connor, thirteen great-grandchildren: Joseph, Makenzie, Brianna, Morganne, Jimmie, Gracelyn, Ian, Kyleigh, Peyton, Ryan, John, Leigha, Cael and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Jack Higginbotham, Erwin Kelley, Ernest Kelley, Evan Kelley and a great-grandchild; Jayden Riewaldt.

Mr. Kelley is listed as an “Active Hero” by the American Red Cross for a Lifetime Donation of 111 units of blood. He enjoyed camping, his 5th wheel, travel, sports, eating out, and carpentry. Above all, Mr. Kelley was a family man and will be dearly missed.

Arrangements are by the Morse Funeral Home in Brocton NY. Calling hours are on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. Services will also be held at the Morse Funeral Home presided by Rev. Larry Morrison on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with a luncheon to follow at location to be announced.
