Kubera takes first in diving as DFF falls to Panama-Chautauqua Lake

Panama-Chautauqua Lake swam past Dunkirk-Forestville-Fredonia, 111-74, Friday during CCAA boys swimming action.

Peter Kubera took first place in the 1-meter diving event for DFF, finishing the afternoon with 241.80 points while teammate Trystan Meyer touched the wall first in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:03.23. Also for DFF, Duke Medema was first in the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:05.99.

DFF’s 200 medley relay team took home a first-place finish, as Medema, Andrew Saye, Meyer and Bill Bradley combined for a time of 1:56.38.

Panama-Chautauqua Lake was led by Parker Roberts and Patrick Yuchnitz, who both won a pair of events each. Roberts was first in the 200 freestyle (2:04.53) and the 500 freestyle (5:37.92) while Yuchnitz was first in the 200 IM (2:22.10) and the 100 breaststroke (1:13.81).
