Gowanda Police make arrests following stabbing

GOWANDA – Following an investigation into the stabbing of three people on Walnut Street last week, Gowanda Police have announced the arrest of a father and son.

The continued investigation into the incident on Jan. 24 led police to execute a search warrant Thursday evening at a West Main Street address. At 8 p.m. officers entered and took Joseph R. Gugino Jr., 55, and Indigo J. Vantino, 19, into custody on charges of multiple counts of drug possession including fourth-degree criminal possession of narcotic drugs, a class C felony.

Both men were arraigned in Persia Town Court and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 property.
