NSCA Concord Travel Soccer

Initial signups for the NSCA Concord Travel Soccer Club will be held Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Silver Creek high school cafeteria from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Enter the school from the Bennett State Road large parking lot entrance, not the main front entrance on Dickinson Street.

New Track Officials meeting

There will be a meeting for anyone wishing to become a certified track and field official.

The short informational meeting will be held at Fredonia High?School on?Monday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. in room 627. For more information, call Bob at 672-4076.

Hanover Little League Softball and Baseball

Final registration for the 2014 season for new and returning baseball and softball players aged 4 to 16 years old will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at Silver Creek Central High School cafeteria and on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9-11 a.m. at Forestville Elementary cafeteria. Registration fee is $40 per player for 4 to 12 year olds (Tee ball through Little League majors and 12U softball); $50 per player for age 13 and older players. Maximum registration cost per family is $125 over all age levels.

Players who live in the Towns of Hanover or Sheridan or attend Silver Creek or Forestville Central School are invited to register.

Northwest Lightning Sign ups

Players who would like to play for one of the Northwest Chautauqua Soccer Club Lightning teams during Travel Soccer this spring may sign up Tuesday,?Feb. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Meeder’s in Ripley, Brocton Library, Chautauqua Lake Central School lobby, or McDonald’s in Westfield.

Teams for this year include: U-10 Coed, U-12 boys and U-12 girls, U-14 boys and U-14 girls, and U-17 boys and U-17 girls.

U-10s and U-12s play on Saturday afternoons, while U-14s and U-17s play on Sunday afternoons.

NorthLake Family Recreation Center in Westfield serves as the practice and home game site for the Club.

Practices begin in March and games are held during May and June.

There is a fee to participate, but scholarships can be earned. For more information, call 753-6290.

Steelers 7, Bisons 4

The Steelers were led in scoring by Alex Rush, who netted two goals and an assist, followed by Alex Paluch, who added two goals of his own.

Ikaika Wojcinski, Matt Lotter and Lucas Pchelka each scored once. Wojcinski added an assist along with Aden Wilmore and Caleb Gornikiewicz.

The whole team was awarded the team hard hart for their hard work. Anthony Fitzgerald picked up the win in net.

Steelers 4, Bisons 3

The Steelers came back strong after being down three after the first period. Ikaika Wojcinski had a goal and an assist, Aden Wilmore, Matt Lotter and Alex Rush each added a goal. Alex Paluch and Tate Olson each recorded a helper.

Wilmore received the team hard hat for his performance. Anthony Fitzgerald picked up another win in net.
