Westfield Youth Wrestling
Westfield Youth Wrestling continued their strong season with a fine showing the Lancaster Tournament on Sunday. Following are some of the top performance:
Fourth Place: Cyrus Hurd (7-8, 55-pounds), Austin Bourgeois (11-12, 110).
Third place: Jeffery Woollett (7-8, 70), Mason Maring (7-8, 85).
First Place: Martin Ohlsson (7-8, 60), Dyllan Houser (11-12, 130).

Brian Wojcinski and Scott Wojcinski each scored two goals for the winners while Robert Bajdas and Jeff Cerrie each had one.
First Ward Falcons goals went to Nick Ahlstrom, Tim Gornikiewicz and Dennis Gawronski.
Monnies 6, Coughlan’s Pub 3
Eric Tarnowski shined for Monnies with two goals. Nick Barter and Steve Steklasa contributed with a goal each.
Coughlan’s Pub goals were credited to CJ Vara, John Forbes and Matt Postle.
Kids Night Out
The Fredonia State baseball team will be hosting a Kids’ Night Out on Friday, Feb. 7, in the Steele Hall Fieldhouse at the University. The event, for grades 1 through 7, runs from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Registration is $10 at the door. Activities and swimming will be supervised by members of the team. For more information, call the Baseball Office at 673-3743.
Forestville Sports Club Softball Signups
The Forestville Sports Club will hold signups for girls ages 8-16, who live in the Forestville area.
Signups will be held in the Forestville Elementary cafeteria, on Thursday, Feb. 13 and Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 5-7 p.m.
Age groups will be 10-U, 12-U, and 16-U. Any questions can be directed to Mike Nasal at 679-6059, or Mark Ostrye at 401-9111.
Initial signups for the NSCA Concord Travel Soccer Club will be held Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Silver Creek high school cafeteria from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Enter the school from the Bennett State Road large parking lot entrance, not the main front entrance on Dickinson Street.
Hanover Little League Softball and Baseball
Final registration for the 2014 season for new and returning baseball and softball players aged 4 to 16 years old will be held today, from 6-8 p.m., at Silver Creek Central High School cafeteria and on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9-11 a.m. at Forestville Elementary cafeteria. Registration fee is $40 per player for 4 to 12 year olds (Tee ball through Little League majors and 12U softball); $50 per player for age 13 and older players. Maximum registration cost per family is $125 over all age levels.
Players who live in the Towns of Hanover or Sheridan or attend Silver Creek or Forestville Central School are invited to register.

Dunkirk vs. Southwestern
Tonight’s boys basketball game between the Dunkirk Marauders and Southwestern Trojans will be televised on Access Channel 5 in Fredonia and Channel 12 in Dunkirk. The game will also be televised on Channel 19 in Jamestown.
Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Ed Eaker will call the action and be joined by Greg Krauza.
Lightning Sign ups
Players who would like to play for one of the Northwest Chautauqua Soccer Club Lightning teams during Travel Soccer this spring may sign up Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Meeder’s in Ripley, Brocton Library, Chautauqua Lake Central School lobby, or McDonald’s in Westfield.
Teams for this year include: U-10 Coed, U-12 boys and U-12 girls, U-14 boys and U-14 girls, and U-17 boys and U-17 girls.
U-10s and U-12s play on Saturday afternoons, while U-14s and U-17s play on Sunday afternoons.
NorthLake Family Recreation Center in Westfield serves as the practice and home game site for the Club.
Practices begin in March and games are held during May and June.
There is a fee to participate, but scholarships can be earned. For more information, call 753-6290.
