Heenan’s Pub 5, Dunkirk Falcons 2 – Derek Sheridan netted a hat trick for Heenan’s Pub while Mike Rozewicz and Jeff Huyck added a goal each. Assists were credited to Huyck, Dave Wright, Matt Wronski and Rozewicz. Gary Shain earned the win in net.

Matt Murphy picked up a pair of goals in the loss for Dunkirk Falcons while Ben Nickle added an assist. Bernard Jakiela suffered the loss in net.

CCHA C League

Team 6 7, EBC 4 – Collin Presiza had a hat trick for Team 6 while Stephan Kirsch chipped in a pair of goals. Also scoring for Team 6 were Brett Westling and Nick Quattrone. Assists were credited to Kirsch (2), Bill Powell (2), Presiza, Jason Goss, Quattrone and Nick Bailer. Ken Shearer was in net for the win.

Goals for EBC were scored by Dave Bird (2), Rick Simon and Mark Taylor. Assists went to Taylor (2), Brian Nichols and Michael Hallmark. Phil Nosek was the losing goalie.

Van Miler Hometown

Hero Golf Tournament

The Seventh Annual Van Miller Hometown Hero Golf Tournament will be held Friday, June 13 at Shorewood Country Club.

The M.C./Guest speaker will be former Buffalo Bills general manager Bill Polian.

Brocton-Portland Little League

The Brocton-Portland Little League will hold registrations for the 2014 season at the Ahira Hall Memorial Library in Brocton, on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 5:30-7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22 from 1:30-3 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 27 from 5:30 7 p.m.

First time players must provide a copy of their birth certificate and all players must reside in or attend the BCS district.

Cost is $25 per player for T-ball (ages 4-6), $40 for Minor League Baseball and Softball (ages 7-9) and $40 Major League Baseball and Softball (ages 10-12)

Information regarding Major League Tryouts, fundraisers, opening day and volunteer opportunities will be available during registration.

New Track Officials meeting

There will be a meeting for anyone wishing to become a certified track and field official.

The short informational meeting will be held at Fredonia High School on today at 7 p.m. in room 627. For more information, call Bob at 672-4076.

Northwest Lightning Sign ups

Players who would like to play for one of the Northwest Chautauqua Soccer Club Lightning teams during Travel Soccer this spring may sign up Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Meeder’s in Ripley, Brocton Library, Chautauqua Lake Central School lobby, or McDonald’s in Westfield.

Teams for this year include: U-10 Coed, U-12 boys and U-12 girls, U-14 boys and U-14 girls, and U-17 boys and U-17 girls.

U-10s and U-12s play on Saturday afternoons, while U-14s and U-17s play on Sunday afternoons.

NorthLake Family Recreation Center in Westfield serves as the practice and home game site for the Club.

Practices begin in March and games are held during May and June.

There is a fee to participate, but scholarships can be earned. For more information, call 753-6290.

Forestville Sports Club

Softball Signups

The Forestville Sports Club will hold signups for girls ages 8-16, who live in the Forestville area.

Signups will be held in the Forestville Elementary cafeteria, on Thursday, Feb. 13 and Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 5-7 p.m.

Age groups will be 10-U, 12-U, and 16-U. Any questions can be directed to Mike Nasal at 679-6059, or Mark Ostrye at 401-9111.
