Fredonia Little League registration

Fredonia Little League will hold registration for baseball and softball on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Fredonia High School cafeteria.

Registration will be held for the following divisions: boys and girls t-ball, ages 4-6, boys and girls Hathaway League, ages 6-8, Cerrie League baseball, ages 8-9, boys Wright League baseball, ages 10-12, and Senior boys baseball for ages 13-16.

In the softball division, registration will be held for teams in the minor league, ages 7-9, and major league, ages 10-12.

Participants must be a resident of the Fredonia Central School district.

The cost is $50 for t-ball and $75 for all other leagues including softball. There is a cap of $185 per family.

All new and returning players must register and a copy of a birth certificate is required for all new players.

Coaching and umpire applications will also be accepted at the registration session. All coaching applications, accompanied by a copy of a driver’s license, must be received by the FLL Board of Directors by March 3 in order to be considered for a coaching position.

Pine Valley at Fredonia Girls Basketball

The Pine Valley at Fredonia girls basketball game, scheduled for tonight, will air on Cable Access Channel 5 in Fredonia and Channel 12 in Dunkirk.

Ed Eaker will have the call of the game beginning at 7:30 p.m., with color commentary provided by Bill Schrader.

Steve Seneca led all scorers with 23 points for I.A.C. Teammate Cameron Cook scored 17 in the win while Shawn Snyder had 15 points and Jay John had 11.

Team JKOZ was led by Joe Coe’s 22 points. Anthony Leone contributed 11 points in the loss.

Fredonia 69,

Hood Stars 35

Vincent Conti led Fredonia with 20 points in the win. Brad Eichelberger added 16 points; Angel Correa had 15 and Gerald Dolce contributed 12 points.

Terrance Buchanan led Hood Stars with 14 points in the loss.
