Clayton Herbert Morrison II

Clayton Herbert Morrison II passed away at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, NY, on Saturday afternoon, February 15, 2014 at the age of 94.

He was born on February 21, 1919 in Brocton, NY, and was the son of the late Clayton H. Morrison Sr. and Dora (Leonard) Morrison. Clayton was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Pacific Islands during World War II. He received numerous Awards and Medals, including the Purple Heart. He was a lifelong member of the Brocton Baptist Church, where he served as past Sunday School Clerk. Clayton retired from Blaw Knox in Buffalo in 1981.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carol (Noftsker) Morrison; four sons, Frederick L. (Julia) Morrison and the Rev. Larry (Denise) Morrison of Brocton, NY, William C. (Janet) Morrison of Fredonia, NY, and Clayton H. (Jane) Morrison III of Jefferson. Wis.; as well as one daughter, Dawn I. (Rev Daniel) Stevens of Parkersburg, WV. Clayton is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Morrison of Stockton, NY, and Shirley King of Gerry, NY; and one brother, Alvyn (Beatrice) Morrison of Westfield, NY.

He was predeceased by five sisters, Lillian Morrison, Gertrude Johnson, Ruth Dupre, Isabelle Martin and Virginia Mount, and two brothers, Howard Morrison and Ernest Morrison.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Brocton Baptist Church, 33 W. Main St., Brocton, NY. The Rev. Larry Morrison will officiate. Full Military Honors will be accorded and conducted by the American Legion John W. Dill Post 434 of Brocton, NY. A private Interment will take place on Monday, February 24, at Willowbrook Cemetery in Dunkirk, NY.

Friends are invited to call at the Brocton Baptist Church on Friday evening, February 21, 2014 from 6-8 p.m.
