Brocton Preceptor Beta Epsilon meets

Members of the Brocton Preceptor Beta Epsilon Sorority met recently at the home of Lois Smith. Margie Boltz served as co-Hostess. The members congratulated Gina Hesslink, 2014 Valentine Queen. She thanked everyone for choosing her for this honor.

Members and guests enjoyed an evening together and dinner at the White Inn on Saturday, Feb. 8 to honor their Queen. Gina was crowned by last year’s Queen, Janice Hipwell.

The group discussed its annual Towel Bingo to be held on from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 16 at the Brocton American Legion. The group already has purchased a large array of colorful bath and beach towels and each member is to purchase four towels and provide 4 dozen cookies.

This is the group’s one money-making project for the year and proceeds are used to fund local projects and help members of the community in need. It is an entertaining event to which the group looks forward each year. Parents are encouraged to bring their children as this is an event that is also enjoyable for them.

Lois Smith presented a fascinating program on “Valentine’s Day Fun Facts”.

The next meeting will be held at the home of Janice Hipwell on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. She will also serve as co-hostess. The program for the evening will be checking the “Bingo Box” to see what will need to be purchased.
