Martha Robertson earns spot in DCCC Competitive Red to Blue Program

Martha Robertson has announced she has earned a spot in the first round of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s highly competitive Red to Blue program. She has surpassed demanding fundraising, organization and infrastructure goals, and skillfully demonstrated to voters that she is a problem-solver who will strengthen the middle class.

“I am honored by the outpouring of support we’ve had in New York’s 23rd Congressional District, as New Yorkers have joined our grassroots campaign to stand up for middle class families and build an economy that works for everyone,” Robertson said. “The early strength our campaign has demonstrated led us to earn a spot in the Red to Blue program, and it means we have the support, confidence and momentum it takes to defeat Congressman Tom Reed in November. Whether it’s his votes to shut down the government or the ethical questions about his medical debt collection business, Congressman Reed has shown us again and again that he is not acceptable; the voters of the 23rd District deserve a representative who will fight for all New Yorkers.”

The DCCC’s Red to Blue program highlights top Democratic campaigns across the country, and offers them financial, communications, grassroots, and strategic support. The program will introduce Democratic supporters to new, competitive candidates in order to help expand the fundraising base for these campaigns.
