‘Bye Bye Birdie’ tickets on sale

Tickets are on sale now for Fredonia High School’s spring musical “Bye Bye Birdie.” The show will be presented March 28 and 29 and April 4 and 5 in the district auditorium.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for students/senior citizens. They are available at Box Monkey in the TJ Maxx Plaza.

Brocton zoning code supplemented in regard to trash

The zoning code in the village of Brocton has been supplemented to prevent the accumulation of trash and furniture outside. It also states that grass may not be more than 6 inches high anywhere 200 feet from the road. Brocton’s trustee Dave Hazelton has said they will “aggressively pursue the zoning ordinance.”

Cub Scout Pack 126 annual pancake breakfast Saturday

Mayville Cub Scout Pack 126 will have its 33rd annual pancake breakfast fundraiser this Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to noon. The meal includes unlimited pancakes, sausage and drinks, all in the comfort of the Chautauqua Inn and Suites. Money earned from this fundraiser is used to pay for outings and events, patches and pins, Pack T shirts and outings.

Cub Scout summer camp at Camp Elk Lick in Smethport Pa is something the boys look forward to every year. The cost is roughly $200 per Scout. Scouts will be setting up, serving and cleaning up to earn their way to camp. Pack 126’s goal is to make sure every scout has an opportunity to go to camp.

In addition to the breakfast, there will be door prizes as well as a silent auction. Winners will be announced every hour; winner does not need to present to win. Tickets are available at the door, or by calling 753-3393. Price is $5 per person, children age 5 and under are free!
