Wassell jury will resume deliberations Monday

MAYVILLE – Members of the jury in the trial of Benjamin Wassell of Silver Creek will continue their deliberations Monday after telling the judge, Hon. Michael L. D’Amico, they had yet to reach a verdict.

Jurors began deliberating at 11 a.m. today and ended deliberations at 7 p.m. The jury is set to resume its work Monday at 9 a.m.

Judge D’Amico dropped two charges Wassell was indicted for. The jury was set to consider his guilt on the charges of third-degree criminal possession of a firearm and two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a firearm stemming from an incident where he allegedly sold an assault weapon to an undercover officer.
