Blessed Mary Angela Rosary Society installs officers

Blessed Mary Angela Holy Rosary Society met on Monday, March 3 at the St. Hedwig’s Social Center. Pastor Matthew Nycz installed the 2014 officers. The president is Carole Schiller, vice president is Rita Cieslewicz, recording secretary is Martha Bialaszewski, and treasurer is Sandy Tapasto. Past president Irene Rozumalski pinned corsages on the incoming officers.

President Carole Schiller led the members in the recitation of the Rosary and prayers for ill and deceased members.

The secretary read the February minutes and the treasurer read the financial report. Both were accepted as read.

The members voted to give a monetary donation to Catholic Charities of the Buffalo Diocese.

Each member received tickets for a May drawing card raffle. Returns can be made at the April meeting.

Happy birthday was sung to Stella Michalak and Joan Zielinski.

The attendance prize was won by Patricia Kokocinski.

Outgoing treasurer, Lucille Bartkowski was thanked for her 10 years of service.

Communications included a thank you card from the family of the late Loretta Mulville.

The opening prayer was read by Marilyn Nalepa and the closing prayer by Michalak.

A variety of pies was served by Genny Naruszewicz, Michalak, Annabelle Reilly, and Nalepa.

Games were played and prizes awarded.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, April 7 at 7 p.m. at St. Hyacinth’s Lyceum.
