Westfield Middle School Students of the Month

On a monthly basis, Westfield Middle School names one student of the month at each grade level. Teachers and staff nominate a student who meets the following criteria: follows Westfield’s Rules of Respect for staff and peers; shows outstanding effort and improvement or shows achievement and consistent high scores on tests, quizzes and projects; is prepared daily to participate in all classes; serves as a positive role model for peers; and demonstrates a positive attitude and good citizenship.

The three students were selected for the month of January are Andrew Baribeau from 6th grade, Bret Babcock from 7th grade and Alexia Raspaldo from 8th grade.

Andrew enjoys his math class, and gets some of his best grades in math. In his spare time he enjoys playing football and is a member of the Westfield Goldenhawks. Andrew plans to continue playing football into college and beyond.

Bret enjoys his math class because he likes working with numbers and solving equations. As a hobby Bret enjoys collecting baseball and football cards. In the future he hopes to do well in school and play baseball.

Alexia enjoys her social studies class and learning about the history of the United States. Outside of the classroom Alexia enjoys cooking and baking with her family. She would also like to learn to ice skate. In the future she hopes to attend a good college and become a lawyer.
