Westfield baseball chicken

and biscuit dinner

The Westfield varsity baseball team will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner and chinese auction on Sunday, March 23 from 2-6 p.m. at the Westfield Methodist Church.

Tickets are $8 and will help with the team’s upcoming trip to Myrtle Beach and the Mingo Bay Tourney.

Cassadaga Valley Youth Soccer

The Cassadaga Valley Youth Soccer program is holding required online registration for all players and coaches. Visit and click the registration link at the top of the home page. Online registration is currently open and runs through April 30.

Although in-person registration will still take place, all players, coaches and referrers are required to register online.

The in-person registration will take place Tuesday, April 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the Sinclairville Library. A $10 late fee will be applied after April 30.

The cost is $35 per player up to three players. Additional children cost $25. Make checks payable to Cassadaga Valley Youth Soccer or pay online with a credit card.

Birth certificates are required for any new player. The certificate can be emailed to Uniform samples will not be available. Refer to the sizing chart online.

Anyone interested in coaching must complete an online registration and pass the mandatory background check. They must also attend one of the mandatory coaches meetings. Coaches meetings will be held twice to ensure complete participation. The dates and times of those meetings are yet to be announced.

Referees must also complete an online registration and pass the mandatory background check. A mandatory meeting will be announced in the near future.

The league will be accepting team sponsors through Ma 12 and will accept donations anytime. For more information, contact Ron Barker at 985-5950.

Brian Wojcinski netted the hat trick in a losing effort while Robert Bajdas had a goal of his own.

Justin Kelsey scored four goals and Brian Say had one to lead Nickel Plate Depot.

First Ward Falcons goals went to Bob Kokocinski, Kris Irwin, Dennis Gawronski and Tim Wdowiasz.

Coughlan’s Pub 1

Bob Trzaska and Eric Tarnowski led the onslaught as they combined for seven goals for Monnies. Steve Skrzypek and Matt Ginley each scored two goals and Byron Vanzile had one for the winners.

Coughlan’s lone goal came from Matt Postle.
