Season takes toll on plowers
Take a moment today, when the snow has stopped, to thank your local and state plow drivers.
For the last three months, they could hardly catch a break. On Wednesday, with all the winter warnings, they were back on area roads clearing the way for motorists to run errands or get to work.
It was miserable. Even worse, when you look at the calendar, you find that the start of spring is one week from today.
Today looks nothing like spring. Our lawns are covered in snow. Our lake is frozen. Our roads slush covered.
But tip your cap to all the plow drivers. It’s been a rough and stressful winter.
