Brian Schneider runs for trustee in Forestville
FORESTVILLE – Brian Schneider is running for a seat on the Forestville Village Board on March 18. Schneider is running for trustee unopposed and is endorsed by the Democrat and Republican parties.
Except for his time in the U.S. Marines, Schneider is a lifelong Forestville resident. He graduated from Forestville Central School in 1986 and then joined the United States Marine Corps. He served in the Marines for 21 years.
When he retired in 2007, Schneider and his family moved back to Forestville. Schneider married Brenda White and they have two children, Emily and Eric who both graduated from FCS.
Schneider works as an electrician at Special Metals in Dunkirk. He is a member of the Forestville Fire Department and the FCS alumni association.
He is also a member of a number of veterans organizations including the J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post 953 where he is the adjutant and a member of the honor guard with the Dunkirk Joint Veterans, which conducts military funerals and ceremonies.
“I think my background and experiences will help me be part of the board to lead our village into the future. As a taxpayer I want to ensure every tax dollar is used wisely and for the public good. Please exercise your rights and come out and vote for me in the upcoming elections,” Schneider said.
Voting will be held at the Forestville Municipal Building, 18 Chestnut St., from noon to 9 p.m.
