A collection of thoughts
There are all kinds of collectors. We usually think of coins, dolls or stuffed animals – all tangible. But we also collect our thoughts – the intangibles. We collect the lessons we’ve learned out of life. Here are some I’d like to share with you.
Learn to see circumstances as opportunities. Turn negative situations into positive results.
Look at those that have less than you have and count your blessings.
Examine your natural gifts. Do you have a healthy body, keen mind, a happy disposition? These are your strengths.
Use your time wisely. Doing things for others is more rewarding than being selfish and wanting to be served.
Have a positive attitude. Failure means you had the courage to try.
Ideas produce energy. Energy is powerful. You are powerful. You have the power to put a smile on someone’s face. Begin with your own.
Compliments and encouragement are to be given away, not stored.
Be flexible. Don’t be rigid in your mind, body or schedule. Go with the flow.
Life is a celebration. Celebrate at every opportunity.
If you want someone to change, try changing yourself first. You’ll be amazed at the results.
Body language says volumes!
You have to initiate if you want good results.
No one can take away from you what you freely give. Be a cheerful giver!
Worry about the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves.
You can make a million dollars, lose it, and make it again, but once you’ve lost your reputation, it’s gone forever.
Love is blind and marriage is an eye opener. On the lighter side, love is blind, but the neighbors aren’t.
If you eat more than you need, you’ll weigh more that you want.
Lethargy creates obesity.
All you get out of life are memories and relationships. They are also what you leave behind.
You don’t have to have money to be rich.
You don’t have to be sexy to be a lover.
You don’t have to have a classroom to be a teacher.
Whatever the mind can conceive and the heart can believe, the hands can achieve. (My philosophy.)
We are born alone and we die alone. Whatever we do in between is up to us.
Internal development will produce external changes.
People look for the coming of the Lord and forget He already came and is here now.
Have you ever noticed when you are complimenting someone that you never get interrupted?
If a man is blind, he will not see better if you write the message on a billboard.
If your words are falling on deaf ears, it won’t help to shout.
Without courage, there is no conquest. Without struggle, there is no satisfaction and without sacrifice there is no success.
Don’t be quick to judge. A page doesn’t make a whole book.
The present does not predict the future.
Don’t spend tomorrow’s money today.
Don’t blow your own horn. Nobody likes the tune.
Design the load you carry to fit your shoulders.
Be critical of ideas, not people.
Learn to welcome criticism as an opportunity to do better and to be better.
If you do something bad and fall into the mud you can do two things. You can get out and clean up your act like a sheep or you can stay in the mud like a pig. It’s your choice.
Hatred and anger kill, but understanding and love heal.
If you’ll look at life with love in your heart, you will have perfect vision.
If you can’t do what you would like to do, do what you can do. It’s a wonderful start to a happy life.
We are all on the road of life. Let’s make it an awesome journey.
I love to chew on ideas. Thank God they aren’t fattening!
I’ve enjoyed all of these ideas, but there are some I’d like to star. Pick yours out. I gave you a lot to think about.
Isn’t your thought life exciting?
