Food handler class to be held March 24

The next Chautauqua County Certified Food Handler Class will be held March 24 at the Chautauqua County Office of Emergency Services, Training Room #1, 2 Academy St. (Old Mayville High School), Mayville. Use the rear entrance facing the south parking lot next to bus garage.

Registration and sign-in is 12:30 p.m. Class is from 1 to 4 p.m. Preregistration is required. Call 753-4693 to register. Cost is $35 for profit/$20 non-profit. Additional information on the class is posted at www.myhealthycounty.com.

CCIDA to hold meeting in Dunkirk

The County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the SUNY Fredonia Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.

JCC open house March 22

Jamestown Community College’s Jamestown Campus will hold Explore JCC, an open house for high school students and others, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on March 22.

A campus fair featuring information on academic programs and student services will be held in the Student Union from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Information sessions covering a range of topics will be held from 10:05 to 11:15 a.m., followed by guided campus tours at 11:30 a.m.

Pomfret Town Board meeting rescheduled for Wednesday

The Pomfret Town Board meeting scheduled March 12 has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the town hall. The meeting was rescheduled due to the weather.
