Silver Creek water meter replacement letter error

The village of Silver Creek would like to notify its residents that recently received a letter from the mayor about water meter replacements to disregard the dates printed in the letter. Because of a miscommunication, In-Line, the meter installation company, will not be doing work in the village until the end of March.

Residents are still asked to call the number on the letter to make an appointment to have their meter replaced if they have not already done so.

Any residents who have not received a letter to schedule an appointment to have their meter replaced should call the village clerk’s office at 934-3240.

Fredonia Cable Board continues contract

discussions

The Fredonia Cable Access Committee (Time Warner channels 5 and 17) held its monthly meeting Feb. 27 to discuss March programming and the ongoing cable contract negotiation.

During the meeting, the committee was updated on the cable access contract negotiations and it reviewed and discussed the budget for the proposed station move into the Village Teen Center space. The board then reviewed the winter programming and the calendar for upcoming spring programming.

The topic of shared programming with the Mayville and Dunkirk stations was also discussed.

Just as a reminder, Channel 5 is gone from analog televisions, it is on Channel 5 on cable boxes, and it is on Channel 96.1 on a digital flat-screen TV, but you have to run the auto program in your setup menu to get the TV to recognize the channel. You may find several channels have moved and there might even be new stations available. You can also view our programming on YouTube at “Access 5 Fredonia.”

Residents interested in becoming committee members or submitting information for the community bulletin board should contact the board at bulletin.board@fredonia.edu.
