High hopes for the hoops
There’s always hope for next year when it comes to the two big pro Buffalo sports teams. But this week, however, hopes are very high for the city when it comes to a national showcase.
Once again, the Queen City is host to the National Collegiate Athletics Association basketball tournament, better known as March Madness. First hosted in 2000, many were not sure if Buffalo would be a basketball-crazed city like others.
The results, however, spoke for themselves. Buffalo – and Western New York – definitely gets in to the Madness by filling the First Niagara Center and, for many, cheering on their favorite basketball teams.
Syracuse is coming to town, which makes the event even more appealing.
Buffalo is in the spotlight this week. And, thankfully, it has nothing to do with the Bills or Sabres.
