Our Lady of Fatima Society meets

The Our Lady of Fatima Society of Blessed Mary Angela Parish met on March 11.

President Joan Gula gave a report on the bake sale and money raffle. A $100 donation was given to Catholic Charities and $50 to the Edmundite Missions.

Father Matt Nycz said the Saturday pot luck suppers and movies would be held in the school. A discussion about the movie “Son of God” was planned for March 20. Father Nycz also said that tickets for the movie “Noah” will be available at a later date.

Members were reminded that the annual festival will be held Sunday, August 10 and the Society will have the small appliance booth.

Sunday, April 27, will close the “Divine Mercy” week and a reception will be in the Lyceum.

May crowning will be after the 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday, May 3,

First Holy Communion will be at the 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, May 4 at the St. Hedwig worship site.

Green carnations adorned the statue of Blessed Mary and green and white shamrock clusters decorated the dessert table and side tables. Desserts were served by Dorothy Buffa, Janet Nalepa and Sue Nickle.

The committee for April will be Polly Newman, Linda Kuzara and Dorothy Krystofiak.

The next Fatima Mass will be held on April 5, and the next meeting will be April 8.

Carol Kozlowski won the attendance prize.
