Robertson is healthy choice

My devoutly patriotic mother, Mary Sullivan, spent four years caring for sick and wounded soldiers in Texas and England as a nurse in World War II. She came home, married and raised four daughters who grew up to revere their country and the freedom and fairness she taught us it embodied.

One thing my mom could never understand was how the richest and finest country in the world could not offer medical care to everyone. Were she alive she would have rejoiced in Obamacare and not understand how a supposedly compassionate man like Congressman Tom Reed would work so hard against it.

We need new leadership in Washington, people like Martha Robertson, who believe that all of us, no matter the size of our pocketbooks, deserve access to good medical care. I will be voting for her in November.
