Another armed robbery reported in Jamestown
Jamestown Police are investigating another early-morning armed robbery.
Armed with a knife, two suspects entered CVS in Brooklyn Square, robbing the store of medication, cash and cigarettes at 2:16 a.m. Wednesday.
Both suspects are believed to be white males with medium builds. Both wore Carhartt-style pants, hooded sweatshirts and had masks covering their faces. They fled the store and are still at large, police said.
One suspect’s dark blue sweatshirt had the words “Tail gate party” on its front. He had an orange bandana covering his face. The second suspect had a dark-colored sweatshirt, possibly maroon in color, with the letters “AE” on the front left.
Anyone with information on the identity of either of these suspects can contact Jamestown Police at 483-7531 or they can leave an anonymous tip at 483-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
Police are also searching for a man who robbed a downtown 7-Eleven early Monday morning.
At 5:41 a.m., the white male – wearing tan Carhartt overalls and a light gray hooded sweatshirt – entered and wielded a knife at the lone clerk and customer inside the store, located at Sixth and Main streets.
The clerk, who was also the assistant manager of the 7-Eleven, said he was “still shaking” from the experience, describing the suspect’s weapon as a “big knife.”
“We’ve been robbed before, but never like (this),” said the clerk, who wished to remain anonymous.
The 5-foot-9-inch, medium-built suspect was reportedly wearing blue latex gloves and an orange-colored bandana over his face during the robbery. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

According to Captain Robert F. Samuelson, division commander of the Jamestown Police Department, armed robberies occur in the city more often than people realize, with many involving drugs in some way, shape or form.
Notable incidents include an armed robbery at Jamestown Community College on Dec. 13, in which two masked men threatened two victims with a pistol and walked away with cash and belongings.
In an unrelated incident the next day, two 16-year-old males threatened a man at gunpoint while he reportedly walked along Tower Street at night. The two males robbed the victim of cash, but were later apprehended and charged.
Samuelson advised people to cooperate with armed robbers if they find themselves confronted. Notify police immediately afterward, and be able to paint a good description of the suspect, Samuelson said.
