Brocton Musical begins today

The Brocton Central School Drama Club will present “9 to 5 the Musical” this weekend. Showtime is 7 p.m. today and Saturday at Brocton Central School. Tickets are available at the Elementary School office during school hours or at the door for $7.

9 to 5: The Musical tells the story of three unlikely friends: Violet Newstead (played by senior Kathryn Rexford on Friday night and junior MaKayla Weaver Saturday night), Doralee Rhodes (played by freshman Hope Powell) and Judy Bernly (played by senior Gaby Pena) who conspire to take control of their company and learn there’s nothing they can’t do – even when their boss, Franklin Hart (played by senior Norman Rodriguez on Friday night, and senior Tyler DeJoe on Saturday night) tries to stomp out their hopes and dreams.

Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, “9 to 5: The Musical” is about teaming up and taking care of business, it’s about getting credit and getting even.
