Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Donovan

Christina Maria Kennedy and Thomas Ryan Donovan were united in marriage on July 27, 2013 in a double ring ceremony at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Dunkirk. The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Joseph Zalacca of Holy Trinity Church, Dunkirk; the Rev. David Bellittiere of Fourteen Holy Helpers, West Seneca; the Rev. Raymond Donohue of Dunkirk; the Rev. Roland Guilmain, AA of Boston, Mass. and the Rev. Martin Moleski, SJ of Buffalo.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Magdalene Miller Kennedy of Kenmore and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Kennedy of Tonawanda.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Donovan of Fredonia.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an ivory lace fitted gown with beaded accents and sweetheart neckline. The bride carried a bouquet of yellow sunflowers, orange gerbera daisies, red spray roses, green hydrangeas, green hypericum berries and blue delphinium.

The bride’s honor attendant was Rachael Pelletter of Buffalo, cousin of the groom. The bride’s attendants included: Cynthia Houghtaling of Salisbury, Md., cousin of the groom; Megan McKillip of Fredonia; Dawn Brown of Hamburg, Marie Sedota of Fredonia, and Robert Lorino of Waltham, Mass., all friends of the bride. The bridesmaids and maid of honor all wore black, floor length gowns in the style of their choosing. The bridesman wore a suit to match the groomsmen.

The best man was Michael Polito of Waltham, Mass., friend of the groom. Groomsmen included William Wells of Dunkirk, Ryan Brown of Hamburg, and Michael Mogollon of Tallahassee, Fla., friends of the groom; Michael Pelletter of Buffalo and James Donovan of New Britain, Pa., cousins of the groom; and Richard Kennedy of Kenmore, brother of the bride.

The flower girl was Alexis Krasts of Dover, Del., cousin of the groom. The ring bearer was Nathaniel Miller of Kenmore, cousin of the bride.

A reception followed at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Dunkirk.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Kenmore West High School. She graduated from Canisius College in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in adolescence education. She is currently the safety administrative assistant at A.W. Farrell and Son, Inc. in Dunkirk.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Fredonia High School. In 2007, he graduated from Canisius College with a bachelor’s degree in English. He is currently completing his master’s degree in education. He is currently employed as an English teacher at Forestville Central School.

The couple honeymooned for a week in Ocean City, Md. They will reside at their new home on Cottage Street in Fredonia.
