Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gaworecki Jr.
Karen Waterman and Joseph Gaworecki Jr. were united in marriage on June 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. in a double ring ceremony at the Lakewood United Methodist Church. The wedding was officiated by Don Ray, First Presbyterian Church of Jamestown. The organist was Brian Bogey of Jamestown.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Jody Waterman of Forestville.
The groom is the son of Joseph and Marsha Gaworecki of Lakewood.
The bride was escorted by her father, Kevin Waterman. She wore an A-line satin gown with gathered chiffon overlay and floral applique with a chapel train, and a fingertip veil with beaded edging. She carried a bouquet of blue roses, blue hydrangea, white rannunculus, and stephanotis.
Her honor attendant was Heather Turner of Pittsburgh, Pa., friend of the bride. Her bridesmaids were Shinea Igielinski of Buffalo, friend of the bride, and Amber Hemphill of Silver Creek, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Petty Officer 2nd Class Jared Gaworecki of Aiea, Hawaii, brother of the groom. The ushers were Andrew Dole of Jamestown and Brad Patton of Minerva, Ohio, friends of the groom.
The flower girl was Jasmine Waterman of Gowanda, niece of the bride. The ring bearer was Justin Gaworecki, of Lakewood, nephew of the groom.
A reception was held at the Samuel L. Derby American Legion Post 556 in Frewsburg.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Forestville Central School, a 2004/2011 graduate of Jamestown Community College, and a 2008 graduate of SUNY Empire State College. She is employed as a registered nurse at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Southwestern Central School. He is a 2011 graduate of Jamestown Community College and a 2012 graduate of ITT Technical Institute. He is employed as an IT Engineer at Bright PlanIT, Inc. in Buffalo.
Following a 10-day motorcycle trip to Mackinac Island, Mich. and Mt. Rushmore, the couple is at home in Silver Creek.
