Welch’s, National Grape to offer SUNY Fredonia scholarships
Eligible students are invited to compete for three $1,000 scholarships to the State University of New York at Fredonia as a result of a scholarship fund created by Welch’s and National Grape Cooperative for its employees and grower-owners.
Established through the Fredonia College Foundation, the Welch’s/National Grape scholarships have been awarded since 1996. Scholarship applications are now available for students who will be attending SUNY Fredonia in the academic year commencing in the fall of 2014. Any child or grandchild of a Welch’s or National Grape employee or grower-owner in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio or Canada is eligible for the scholarship.
Applications are due May 11. Interested candidates, who must have applied or have already been accepted to SUNY Fredonia for the fall 2014 academic year, should contact Ivis Edgerton at National Grape Cooperative, 2 S. Portage St., Westfield 14787 or 326-5368.
