Forestville Village Board members, mayor sworn in
FORESTVILLE – Two new Forestville Village Board members and the mayor were sworn in Monday.
Recently elected officials Kevin Johnson was sworn in as mayor and Brian Schneider and Gary Belote were sworn in as trustees at the board’s reorganizational meeting.
Johnson then made Schneider the deputy mayor. The board also designated the OBSERVER as the paper of record, set regular meeting days and employee holidays – none of which changed from last year.
Frank Schneider was appointed the village historian for one year and he waived his stipend.
Johnson did not appoint anyone to the trustee seat he vacated on the board.
The board went into executive session to discuss litigation.
The regular meeting is scheduled tonight at 7 p.m. in the village hall.
