Cougars score early in 9-0 win over Brocton

BROCTON – The Cassadaga Valley Cougars scored all their runs in the first four innings and received a stellar pitching effort from Matt Hollowell in a 9-0 victory over Brocton on Thursday in CCAA West II high school baseball action.

The Cougars scored three runs in the first inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Hollowell.

In the third inning, Chris Ellis had an RBI fielder’s choice and Jordan Crabtree added an RBI single to give the visitors an 8-0 lead.

Crabtree finished with two hits and two RBI while Jaquan Watts had two hits of his own.

Nash Delcamp was Brocton’s lone bright spot on offense with two of his team’s six hits.
