Scavenger hunt at the Grape Discovery Center
The Grape Discovery Center in Westfield welcomes students on Spring Break to participate in a scavenger hunt. The hunt consists of 21 questions and the answers can be found in the Star Family Exhibit Room at the Center.
“The scavenger hunt was developed by the Fredonia Pack 267 Bear Cub Scouts Leaders when they visited the Center,” according to Manager Mackenzie Cady. “They had a fun time and it was such a great way for the kids to learn about our grape industry and heritage. Kids enjoy the interactive displays especially the 9,200 year old bone from a Mastodon that roamed the area.”
A prize will be given to those who complete the hunt.
There is no charge to visit the Grape Discovery Center. It is currently open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
Parents should plan at least one hour of time for completion of the scavenger hunt. The center is located one mile west of the village of Westfield on Route 20. Visit www.grapediscoverycenter.com or call 326-2003 for more information.
