Mona I. Baldwin

SOUTH DAYTON – Mona I. Baldwin, 81, retired shipping & receiving clerk for Carnahan’s, where she worked for 7 years, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA.

She was born June 23, 1932 in Duke Center, PA the daughter of the late Joyce and Daisy (Sommers) McGee.

Mona graduated from Otto Eldred High School in Duke Center, PA, and at-tended the Ross Mills Church of God. She en-joyed her family and grandchildren, and was known to drop some stitches knitting and sewing.

Mona lived in South Dayton, NY for nine years and was previously from Falconer, NY.

She is survived by a son, Howard E. (Claudette) Baldwin Jr. of South Dayton, NY; three daughters, Sandy E. (Donald) Herb of South Dayton, NY, Louise A. (Richard) Riggs of Chazy, NY, Debbie J. (Timothy) Powell of Port-land, NY; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; her brother, Robert McGee; and two step grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Baldwin Sr. on Sept. 14, 2009; her five brothers, Norman, Ralph, Eugene, Lester and Fred McGee; and a sister, Charlotte Gleason.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Hills Funeral Chapel, 478 Balcom Corners, South Day-ton, NY. The Rev. R. Gor-don Spiller of Portland will be officiating. Burial will be in the Villenova Cemetery in South Dayton.
