Fredonia Farmers’ Market to hold community luncheon Saturday

The Fredonia Farmers’ Market will hold a community luncheon on Saturday at the Masonic Forest Lodge from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The luncheon will be part of a community fundraising event sponsored by the Market with dishes produced from food grown by local farmers and small scale food producers. For a $5 donation, attendees can select from a wide variety of delicious options, including pulled pork sandwiches, salad, spinach quiche, soup, and more.

The Fredonia Farmers’ Market was recently incorporated as a not-for-profit organization, and seeks to fund various projects for year-round programming, including nutrition and cooking workshops featuring locally grown foods in season, setting up a food donation program, providing youth outreach and entertainment, and offering new farmer development opportunities.

The Masonic Lodge is located at 321 East Main Street in Fredonia. In mid May the market moves to Church Street in Fredonia. For more information, see
