United Healthcare and County Home team up for Relay for Life
Amy Atwell, nurse practitioner for Optum a division of United Healthcare, is joining forces with the Chautauqua County Home (CCH) residents, residents’ families, and staff to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, scheduled for June 14.
During May, teams comprised of CCH employees and residents will compete against each other to raise the most money for the cause through a series of fundraising events scheduled at the County Home including a penny drive, bake sale, luncheon, and silent auction. Volunteers and donations are needed for each of these events and individuals interested in helping with these efforts can contact the Activities Department at 366-6400.
The Chautauqua County Home, located on Temple Road in Dunkirk, is a 216-bed skilled nursing facility specializing in rehabilitation and long term health care. The residents and staff welcome community participation in events and many volunteering opportunities are available. Call the Activities Department at 366-6400.
