Southwestern tops Silver Creek
Southwestern baseball is now 1-2 in Division 1 West and 4-3 overall after taking care of league opponent Silver Creek 21-7 at home on Thursday afternoon.
Mike Sandbloom earned the start on the mound for the Trojans and tossed four innings, giving up four runs, fanning three and walking three in the victory.
Southwestern split their relief between Jared Brocy, who gave up a pair of runs and struck out two, Erik Priester, and Ben Burk, who ended the night with three strikeouts.
Burk was also solid at the plate with three hits while Hunter Peterson was 3-for-4, Noah Weinstein was 2-for-3, Priester struck a double and was 2-for-3, and Niko Pannes was 2-for-3 with a double as well.
Nick Iskra struck four hits for the Black Knights and Logan Murphy managed a pair in the loss.
